Key Facts About Cingular’s Health Plan

  1. You must enroll for benefits within 31 days after you are hired. Your coverage is effective on the first day of the month following completion of one month of service. Coverage for your enrolled dependents is effective on the date your coverage is effective. There is no default or “fall-back” coverage for you or your family if you do not enroll.

  3. Take advantage of cFit, a program of resources and tools to help you get the most out of your Cingular benefits during your wellness efforts.

  4. With the Cingular medical options, preventitive services, screenings and tests are covered at 100% after a copay when those services are provided by a network physician.

  1. Learn more about any coverage you may have available under your spouse’s employer’s plan, so you can make an informed comparison when it’s time to enroll.

  2. Consider saving pre-tax dollars to reimburse yourself for certain expenses. Cingular offers a Healthcare Reimbursement Account (for eligible out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision care, and over-the-counter product expenses) and a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (for eligible day care and elder care expenses).
